Reiki is a form of alternative therapy that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. Alternate modalities do exist with similar beliefs, movements and practices. Some are even older than the Reiki that is practiced today.
Reiki involves the practitioner channeling healing energy into the recipient through their hands, either by lightly touching or holding them just above the body. Reiki can be channeled over distance as well. The goal is to promote physical and emotional healing by balancing the body's energy. Reiki is based on the belief that disruptions in universal life force energy that flows through all living things can lead to health issues. Many people find Reiki helpful for relaxation and stress reduction. Some hospitals and hospice programs are even beginning to offer reiki to their patients
Originating from rural Pennsylvania, Audrey Hartwick is a paramedic who experienced burnout during the early pandemic. Years of neglect abuse and self loathing found its way to the surface leading Audrey down a path of self reflection and love. Deep understanding of personal emotions and new perspectives on mindset were used to create lasting change in Audrey's life.
The building was whitewashed cement walls. The walls had ivy growing everywhere in natural light. I'm not sure where it came in the building. In the middle was a statue of 2 figures dancing. (continued)
